A guest from Alytus City Municipality 2004-03-10
While making the Business Map of Alytus town the youths meet a lot of obstacles. The main task for the young people is to get as much information about the firm as they can. There are a lot of businessmen who don't want to co-operate with the youths. Where is the problem?

It was decided that one of the reasons might be an incorrect way the youths presents themselves when they come to a company. Everyone can agree that the business world has specific requirements for the outfit, communication and behavior. It was decided that it would be useful for PIPE business group to get basic information about such rules. This knowledge would help them to create their image.

Because of this reason Ausra Mikalauskiene was invited to the weekly meeting of PIPE business group on Thursday. As a Head of Foreign Affairs Office in Alytus city Municipality, she knows a lot about etiquette and code of behavior. Ausra hold a short seminar "Conception of Presentation". The main issues she presented were about physical and intangible factors of a person which make the highest effect for self presentation. It was pointed up that such small thing as handshake, smile, perfumes, look and hair-cut make a great influence on other people. The way one sit or dress gives a lot of information about a person. Every presentation has to be prepared in advance. Ausra gave a lot of advices and examples how to avoid unpleasant situations.

The youths were grateful for Ausra Mikalauskiene. The seminar was very interesting. All received information will be used in practice when the young business angels go to visit companies or find a job.
