Many of the Swedish PIPE youths have had a great opportunity to participate in different youth exchanges in several countries. Last week it was Swedes' turn to host Estonian and Finnish youths. The youth exchange took place in Tranemo but even the youths from two other municipalities in Västra Götaland - Karlsborg and Ulricehamn - were participating. The programme for these days was rather varied. There were held informative lectures about the enlargement of EU and about the co-operation between companies and the youths in Tranemo. The youths themselves were discussing the Future Workshops in different regions and were arguing the positive and negative aspects for EU enlargement. We were very lucky to have with us some experts who guided the youths with their experiences and knowledge. For example Elin Ulven from Norway who shared with the youths some tips and suggestions about marketing and promoting the identity and image of Tranemo. The theoretical part of the exchange was combined by a couple of study visits to enterprises in Tranemo and sightseeing in Tranemo and Göteborg. In Göteborg the youths visited among other things even Sweden's national science discovery centre and amusement park. In the evenings there were common dinners and parties and the most appreciated event during the exchange turned out to be a "ghost walking" at Torpa Stenhus Castle.
