About some project in Alytus 2004-04-14
Few days ago Alytus City Municipality council hall was almost full of schoolchildren. They were gathered together by the gripping posters in their schools announcing that young workers are needed. This meeting was organized by youngsters from the "Business Angel", where they learn the basics of business. In this meeting we could see not only interested youth, but also the mayor of Alytus Vytautas Kirkliauskas and PIPE project coordinator in Alytus city Ilona Navickienë.

Vaclovas Goðtautas, the director of "Business Angel", began the meeting, by shortly describing the idea of "Business Angel" and its objectives. Then youth explained why they all are here. "Business Angel" youth presented an idea of creating a new joint-stock company, which will distribute press for the residents of Alytus. New establishing company is looking for children, who wants money and can deliver press to the customers. "Business Angel" youth have set such requirements for the children: punctuality, assiduity, honesty and most important - activity. They said that just working all together we can make prosperous, profitable and expanding business.

Then youth explained children what they will have to do. The work will be much easier than for children, who sell newspapers in markets or other public places. They will not have to stand and get cold. They will have to bring newspapers for subscribers directly to their homes. "Business Angel" youth told that it won't be very difficult, children will have to wake up just a few minutes earlier and to bring press to their neighbors.

"Business Angel" youth have also offered children to buy stocks of their company. They shortly described the upcoming company administrative structure and told a small comparison, which showed that investing in a company can bring children more money.

Meeting was finalized by Mayor of Alytus Vytautas Kirkliauskas. He said that Alytus is one of the youngest cities in Lithuania what concerns age of inhabitants and it is pleasure that there are so many active youth. He greeted the idea of creating a company and promised that Alytus City Municipality will be one of the customers.
