An announcement made by the Türi Town Government 2003-11-12
Within the PIPE project Türi Town Government has made an
announcement: "Türi - the youth friendly town'' concerning young people.

 | | The mayor of Türi, Kaia Iva, is looking forward to cooperate with the local youths and suggestions to make Türi an attractive municipality for young people and for the whole community. | Youth are asked to address the problems of their hometown as
a whole taking into consideration youth events, possibilities for organizing
them, possibilities for dealing with hobbies, public places, buildings and
opportunities for spare time activities, welfare and attraction of Türi, life
environment in the city, traffic, roads for traffic and pedestrians,
availability of services, employment, etc. Solutions and analysis of threats and
opportunities are also expected.The announcement was sent to all the local
schools and was published in the local newspaper Türi Rahvaleht. Deadline of the
suggestions is the 7th of November. After several development seminars will be
held which are going to take place in November and December 2003 involving PIPE
youth, representatives from the student government and the town authorities.In
these seminars the youth proposals are considered and the ideas that get
supported by the Türi Town Government are going to be realised, if possible. The
aim of the development seminars is to work out an agreement between PIPE youth
and Türi Town Government. The agreement will be signed by the town mayor Kaia
Iva and by the PIPE youth. The agreement will be a cooperation declaration
between the youth and the Town Government, where the responsibilities of the
Türi Town Government (responsibilities will be related with the town budget) and
Türi youth (what they will do in cooperation with town government) will be
agreed upon.
