The second time we,
the youths presented the Pipe project for politicians in Eidsberg Municipality a
representative from the local Rotary Club of Østfold was listening. After the
presentation he asked me if I wanted to participate on a leadership course with
other youths of the age of 18-30. I took the challenge and went to Brandu on the
course in the weekend 4.-7. of March. Rotary is a worldwide club, which consists
of people from different groups from the business life. They learn about each
others businesses and also have some focus on youth exchanges for youths aged
16-17. RYLA is short for Rotary Youth Leadership Award, and invites good
speakers from all over Norway to teach the youths about leadership,
communication, media, how to run a business and even more. The course was very
interesting, and I learned a lot. Last Wednesday I was in the local Rotary Club
to tell them about Pipe and our local youth projects in Eidsberg. It was very
interesting and I am glad I got the chance to participate in the course and also
tell them about the Pipe project.
