PIPE youth from the group of youth initiatives have good relations with the regional radio station "Power Hit Radio - Murmansk". We can say now that they are very successful! As a recent result of their joint work we can say about the project called "Power Awards 2004. Heroes of Murmansk". The main idea of the project was to find "heroes of Murmansk" - people whose input into city's development was rather important for year 2003 and 2004. Nominations were: 1. Best education program or the best teacher of the year. 2. Best musical project or the best Dj of the year. 3. Best sportsman of the year. 4. Best company of the year. 5. Person of the year. The final event of the project took place on April 10 2004. Residents of Murmansk had chosen heroes via sms and internet election. The regional mass media called this project a rather important and original for development of the region and also the best PR project.
