One Thursday Vida Macerniene the Head of En vironment Protection Division from Urban Economy Department in Alytus City Municipality attended the PIPE youth meeting. She told the youth about ecological situation in the town and around it. There were discussed how to strengthen the image of Alytus as Clean City. It was decided that the celebration of the Earth Day could show possibilities and capacity for town cleaning to all inhabitants of the town. The idea risen that the youth could show that they were cared about the environment they were surrounded. Two girls Evelina and Ausra showed a great initiative in organizing this event. They were main middlemen between the youth and Alytus City Municipality. These two girls showed huge competency in cooperating with the youth. A lot of youth from all schools in the town were involved in preparation and participation of this special celebration. It is inserted some photos for to see what the youngsters were doing.
