Ten guests - two teachers and eight youths from Notodden, Norway visited
Järva County. The aim was to experience local entrepreneurship and the youth
companies in Türi. The youths were accommodated in the families of local youths
participating.
During these six days we had time to get familiar with the status of
the local project in Notodden and Türi, see how the youth companies work and
what they produce and also have discussions on the topic youth enterprises.
Visiting local enterprises and getting familiar with both gymnasiums in Türi
were belonging to the activities. Included in the agenda were also an
interactive team-training event that took place outside (in a wood) and a trip
to Tallinn. One day was organised by the families the youths were accomodated
in. This has made it possible for the Norwegian youths to see more of
Estonia.
The
days were so organized that the guests had no time to get bored. The cooperation
with the Norwegian girls was just wonderful. They were interested in different
activities, especially parties, and we could have a really good time
together.
It is
also planned that the Estonian youths who were participating in the exchange and
also some youths running a youth company will visit Notodden probably in the
beginning 2004.

Some impressions from other participants:
On
Friday, the 7th of November, we visited Ltd. Dessert, a leading company in milk
market.
On
the guided tour we got information about how things are being done there (they
produce curds there), how big is the market at the moment and how big is their
production.
After
that we had teamwork training. We learned how to work as a team. The keywords
there where co-operation and trust. For example we had to guide a partner with a
blindfold on through a field without saying anything, the one with the blindfold
on had to trust the one who was guiding. Also, a second thing was to catch a
team member, while he/she was falling. The one falling had to trust the
others.
It
was quite a fun thing! (I'd recommend it to everybody).
The general expressions were more than nice,
the people were always happy, nobody complained (at least I didn't hear
anything) and everybody got along just fine. When the time to leave came (on
Sunday) nobody wanted it, we just had grown to each other, so it was the saddest
thing on the whole exchange.

I had
very great time with interesting people, because we had so much in common. We
had days full of activities and in every day there was something special. I had
very much fun and excitement, so I remember these days all my life.

I'm
very pleased for having this experience and for being a part of this great
project.
As a
person hosting a youth from another country for the first time, I was a bit
afraid but the Norwegian girls faded my doubts immediately. Me, as well as the
rest of us, I think, enjoyed this week.
