Activities description: A group of tourists comes to the city of Murmansk. They are offered dfifferent types of routes through the city. Their choice may depend upon their age, interests, the duration of their visit, etc. They are showed different districts of the city, historical monuments, museums, industrial enterprises, places representing all the sides of the inner life, both positive and negative. Also the guests are given possibility to communicate with the citizens of the city. The whole concept of these routes are based upon their alternative essence. We are not going to follow traditional ways of organising such routes through the city. The main idea of the routes is to underline the original character of Murmansk and its infrastructure. The 2nd step is a performance which the guests are involved in. The whole performance is based upon the traditions and the way of life of the people inhabiting the south-west of the Kola peninsula (the Pomors). this people is closely linked with the Russians, but their culture is highly original. The group dealing with this part of the programme presents the museum of the Pomor`s culture containing Pomor`s utensils, clothes, ornaments, etc. The museum is situated in the secondary school ¹ 56 of the city of Murmansk. then the performance starts. The group shows traditional ways of dancing, sings Pomors` songs and involves the guests into different games. the next step treating the guests to traditional Pomors` dishes taken fromtheir original cuisine. Also the guests are given a unique opportunity to cook some dishes. At the end the guests are given souvenirs and certificates testifying to their visit to Murmansk.
